We need to teach our daughters the difference between a man who flatters her, and a man who compliments her, a man who spends money on her, and a man who invests in her, a man who views her as property, and a man who views her properly, a man who lusts after her, and a man who loves her, a man who believes he is God's gift to women, and a man who remembers a woman was God's gift to man. ~JM

Perfectly Matched

God carefully and specifically selected Mary to be the mother of His Son. Not because she was the most beautiful. Not because she was the smartest. Not because she was the most popular. And definitely not because she was financially blessed. God chose Mary because she was willing and had a heart that wanted to serve her Lord.

God knew that the mother of His Son needed to be special. To endure the rumors and mockery of her being an unwed teen. He knew she had to be strong enough to face the trials Jesus her Son would have to go through. The hurt. The shame. The torture. His death. God knew that it would take a special woman to be the mother of His Son.

God also knew that it would take a special woman to raise your child. He knew what she would go through and what she would need to get through it all. So God gave her just the right person for the job. God handpicked YOU!

As the journey of raising and rearing your children may be a difficult and at times lonely road, be rest assured that you are not journeying alone and you are equipped for the job, even before you became a mother.

"All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children." Isaiah 54:13
